We are seeking a dynamic and results driven Business Development Manager in our F&SS business to join our team and contribute to our mission of building strong relationships, driving revenue and expanding our reach in the market place. The role holder reports to the Head of Sales to join our business development team across Ireland. Your Role

You will play a critical role in ensuring that fire protection and life safety systems are properly installed, function as designed, and comply with all applicable codes and standards.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Commissioning fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems to agreed customer specifications.

  • Servicing and maintaining fire detection, fire suppression systems, and emergency lighting in accordance with agreed service and maintenance contracts as per IS3218:2013+A1:2019, IS3217:2013:A1:2017.

  • Supporting the sales team and specifying customer needs through the provision of expert advice during on-site inspections.

  • Promoting the G4S Brand.

  • Responding to customer queries and resolving issues promptly and courteously.

  • Responding to emergency activation and other attendances advised through service desk and on call services.

  • Providing regular reports on activities that will enable management to plan strategic and operational direction for the fire systems team.

  • Correct usage of P.D.A. and closing jobs with any other information required to enable work be invoiced to customers promptly and allow certification to take place.

  • Deputising for Manager in any matters as directed by Manager.

  • Ensuring that all G4S property, vehicles, stock, test equipment, and tools are accounted for and kept in good working order.

  • Attending product training when necessary and attaining and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of all of G4S product range, along with relevant industry standards.

Essential:

  • 3+ years experience in a similar role

  • Extensive knowledge of conventional and addressable fire alarm systems

  • Experience working with major fire alarm brands including air sampling systems

  • Experience commissioning graphics systems

  • Experience in standard & complex fire suppression systems

  • Knowledge of Disabled refuge systems and of PA/VA systems

  • A comprehensive knowledge of standards relevant to Fire industry

  • Ability to manage large projects from design through to completion and proven experience of commissioning large projects with complex strategies

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

  • Planning, reporting & organising skills with a strong problem solving ability

  • A team player who is customer focused while generating industry leading results with the ability to work to tight deadlines

  • Full clean driving licence

Desirable:

  • Electrical background is a distinct advantage
