Job Summary (Objective):
The Financial Accounting Manager will play a key role in supporting the financial reporting, compliance, and operational accounting processes of the business. The role involves a broad range of responsibilities including general ledger management, reconciliations, revenue accounting, pension accounting, tax & VAT compliance, and audit support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across functions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and review of accurate and timely monthly financial statements and management reports
- Maintain and manage general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and promptly resolve variances or discrepancies
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition, analyzing client wise gross margin and reconciliation of billed hours vs. performed hours.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities in accordance with internal timelines and controls
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), US GAAP and company accounting policies
- Prepare supporting documentation for Group Internal Audit and external audits, and assist with audit coordination
- Monitor and report on capital expenditures and fixed asset activities
- Oversee accounts payable processes and ensure timely and accurate payments
- Assist in the preparation and submission of tax and VAT returns, and support related accounting activities
- Manage pension fund accounting and liaise with auditors as needed
- Collaborate with operational teams to analyze production costs and drive financial efficiency
- Support the maintenance and organization of financial records in line with internal policies and statutory requirements
Educational Qualification & Competencies Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- CA (Certificate Level Qualified) or ACCA (Level-2 Qualified)
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounting and audit, preferably within MNC environment.
- Strong technical knowledge in financial reporting, revenue accounting, tax/VAT, budgeting, fixed assets, and PF & GF accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems and business intelligence tools is an advantage
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
