GROUNDS MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE

 

Salary: £12.95 per hour

Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 07:30 to 16:30

Location: Cheltenham

 

Excellent benefits package including 2.5% Golden Hello payment on commencement of employment and a £2,000 annual retention bonus (pro-rata for part time employees), subject to Achieving and maintaining clearance requirements. 

 

G4S Facilities Management are recruiting a Grounds Maintenance operative on a full-time, permanent basis based in Cheltenham.

 

We are looking for an organised individual with a keen eye and a brilliant way with people to provide a full and comprehensive delivery of services to our high-profile client. You will execute a comprehensive range of horticultural tasks to exacting standards, strictly adhering to all pertinent health and safety regulations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Execute grounds maintenance tasks in strict accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators, adhering to site-specific policies, UK health and safety regulations, and statutory requirements.

  • Perform a diverse range of horticultural and lawn care duties, including soil cultivation, digging, meticulous weeding, precise edging, and appropriate planting techniques suitable for the local environment.

  •  Conduct comprehensive lawn maintenance, encompassing edging

  • Maintain hand tools and light horticultural machinery, including ride- on and rotary mowers, strimmers, and hedge trimmers,

  • Proactively identify material and resource requirements for your tasks, communicating these needs to ensure seamless service delivery


Essential

  • Knowledge of horticultural practices and techniques

  • Proficiency in operating grounds maintenance equipment

  • Strong Communication 

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • LANTRA Certification

  • First Aid at Work

  • Must be willing to undergo extended security clearance.
