Deposita is a leading cash & payment solutions company. Our globally-implemented cash management, payment, e-payment, and self-service technologies reduce the risks associated with handling money business, currently has a vacancy for a National Sales Manager based at our office in Midrand, Gauteng and reporting to the Sales Director.

The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which the National Sales Manager plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

Main Purpose of Position

Responsible for driving the sales  strategy, ensuring the retention, growth and development of Deposita’s portfolio across the country for the G4S Deposita business. This would include the achievement of defined revenue targets, the development of organizational capacity, and the growth of the business as well as project management and the leading and negotiating contracts on optimal commercial/risk terms.

Key Performance Areas

Effective, targeted Business Growth

  • Ensure key pipeline management activities are in place and monitored on a monthly basis

  • Ensuring that pricing, risk and commercial contract terms are appropriately applied by businesses when entering into Deposita contracts and that price increase strategies are developed and applied

  • Ensure that the business has a robust sales and business development processes 

  • Direct involvement in leading and negotiating major bids on optimal commercial/risk terms

 

Management and development of Customer Focus

  • Ensure appropriate customer measures and KPIs are maintained at business and regional level

  • Ensure customer engagement through awareness events

  • The development of High level relationships and account management with existing and potential major customers

  • The generation of new business through building a customer base who utilize the Deposita services and to increase revenue in relevant sectors in line with the Deposita’s strategy.

Client Retention

  • Ensure the customer services plan are updated and implemented

  • Ensure that we comply with the SATMETRIX and NPS requirements

  • Ensure we have an updated customer renewal strategy

  • Ensure that we maintain a 97% customer retention rate

  • Ensure that you flag any renewal risks and expansion opportunities

 

Development and manage Sales Structure

  • Ensure that Deposita has the capability in terms of business development resources and the necessary components to bid for and deliver sector specific solutions in relevant businesses (technology partnerships, risk assessment capabilities, consultancy style selling skills etc)

  • Manages and coordinates multiple role players and creates structures and mechanisms to manage the role player matrix structure

  • Staff training plan with milestones / Quarterly measurement

  • Coordination of the Tech staff to maximize cross selling and realizing existing as well as new opportunities

  • Good control and measurement over staff efficiency, effectiveness at all levels of the sales process: marketing, Lead, Present, Pricing, closing, handover

  • Partnership network management and control

  • Shows, roadshow & direct client approach schedules and procedure control 

  • Conscious of avoidance of tenders where we do not have a key advantage

  • Development and maintenance of sales tools (PPT, movies, brochures, show stands etc.)

  • Communication campaigns, Email, Marketing, Advertising

  • Target Market segments and clients for direct approach

  • Account management process - Implement and measure

  • Manage margin on proposals and implement strategy to maximize this

Health and Safety

  • Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the branch/region/national safety plans for each year.

  • Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks

  • Report all safety incidents to the relevant people

  • Discuss all safety incidents on all levels

  • Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting /committee /representative /management

  • Attend safety education and refresher programmes

  • Comply with safety policies and procedures at workplace

  • Distribute safety information as and when required

  • Wear protective clothing all the time

Information Security

  • Comply with all Information Security policies, procedures, and training requirements.

  • Immediately report any suspected or confirmed information security incidents.

  • Protect company data and confidential information from unauthorised access or disclosure.

  • Use company systems, email, and devices responsibly, avoiding suspicious links or unauthorised software.

  • Adhere to secure document handling, storage, and disposal practices at all times

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12/ Matric Equivalent

  • A relevant Tertiary Qualification with a preference in the Business Development /Management or Commercial field advantageous 

  • Experience in the development of business with and negotiation of large bids and tenders with Multinational Companies and Governments.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior sales & people management position

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

  • Valid driver’s licence and own transport essential (to undertake business travel within South Africa as needed)

Package Description

Remuneration and benefits will be commensurate with the seniority of the role and in compliance with company remuneration policy and practice.
