We have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Manager to join the Bid Team at G4S Secure Solutions (UK) Ltd. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our team and bid process, which is actively integrating AI tools to enhance our efficiency and creativity. This role is perfect for a thoughtful, forward-thinking professional who wants to embrace technology as part of their approach to bidding.

You will be responsible for managing the entire bid process from start to finish, from initial PQQ and ITT stages all the way through to  presentations, across range of service lines and businesses. A key part of your role will be to project manage the response, collaborating with sales leads to understand customer requirements, engaging with our pricing team, and coordinating with technical and operational experts to design a professional, compliant, and compelling solution. In addition to this, you will be responsible for managing our central helpdesk on behalf of the bid team.

What you will be doing

  • Provide expert bid management for medium-complex bids.
  • Actively incorporate AI tools and technology into the bid process, including prompting and editing to develop high-quality responses.
  • Manage and contribute to the development of winning strategies for bids.
  • Write high-quality, compliant, and compelling responses to tender specifications.
  • Project manage the entire bid response from the receipt of the PQQ, ITT, or similar documents through to final presentations.
  • Marshal the resources of the business to ensure a compelling and compliant response is submitted.
  • Ensure our response adheres to our rigorous bid and governance processes.
  • Manage the central helpdesk for the bid team, ensuring a seamless support process.
What we are looking for

  • Extensive bid management experience and a demonstrable track record of success.
  • Genuine interest in AI tools and technology, with personal or professional experience in prompting, editing and utilising AI
  • Excellent project management and planning skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to support and develop other staff members.
  • Competent writing skills and proven experience in proposal authoring.
  • Good IT skills, with either experience or willingness to work with the Google platform
  • The ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously and thrive under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Location: Remote
