ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE TEAM

We are seeking dynamic, experienced and specialist leaders to join our team as one of three Operations Supervisors. You will play a key role in developing and implementing this operational model within a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and making direct contributions to community safety.
You will support a small team of Senior Officers across your designated Operational Stream, working closely with a team of Operations Supervisors to deliver services. You are key to fostering a workplace culture focused on service improvement, embracing automation/technology and leading strong, high-performing court security and custody officers that directly contribute to community safety.
As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for a portfolio aligned to your strengths:
Court Operations Management: Oversee all court-related activities at the District Court Building (DCB) and Central Law Court (CLC) and direct and manage all security activities across both DCB and CLC locations.
Custody Operations Management: Manage all custodial-related activities within the CLC and DCB custody environments and oversee all people in custody movements, court-related duties and hospital escorts.
Internal Operations Management: Lead and manage all internal reporting procedures, conduct investigations against operational performance metrics, implement corrective actions and actively focus on improving reporting to minimise abatements. You will support and mentor Probationary Officers to successfully bridge the gap between training and on-the-floor application.
All Operations Supervisors are required to undertake the following as part of daily operations:
Workplace Management: Manage all rostering and scheduling using the UKG system, and undertake performance development of staff.
Policy + Procedural Management: Develop, implement and enforce robust risk management systems and procedures.
Liaising with Internal and External Stakeholders: Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders to foster effective inter-agency working, particularly with WA Police and the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Supervisory: Demonstrated management, self-management and team-building skills.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify trends in data and draw logical conclusions.
Adaptability: Agility to adapt quickly to changing operational demands and unexpected situations.
