ABOUT THE ROLE AND TEAM
The G4S Talent Acquisition team champions active recruitment across G4S working as a collaborative team of four, across our Security and Custodial contracts. We are a high performing team who work in a fast-paced environment, with plenty of challenges. We support hiring managers across Australia, and we recruit for diverse positions in our corporate head office, prisons, youth justice centres, courts, security for state and global clients, mobile speed cameras, justice prisoner transport – and more!
The Talent Acquisition Advisor will play a critical role in supporting managers at all levels across all sites within Australia & New Zealand. Duties of the position include:
- End to end Management of high-volume recruitment, from having job briefings with hiring managers for positions, advertisement writing, phone screening applicants to producing employment contracts.
- Scheduling interviews and providing feedback to candidates.
- Managing candidates and workflows in our Applicant Tracking System (Springboard).
- Sourcing candidates on Seek Premium Talent Search and LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Taking successful candidates through our compliance process, including putting them through a pre-employment medical where required, requesting copies of qualifications and identification, obtaining 2 years' worth of employment verifications, lodging online police checks, and validating rights to work in Australia in line with G4S Global Screening standards.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a highly motivated professional with a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to work with pace and volume. The ideal candidate should be a proactive self-starter who is system savvy and eager to expand their skill set. While direct experience in custodial or security training isn't required, skills from high-volume environments such as retail or logistics are highly valued. Requirements include:
- Previous experience working in Talent Acquisition or Human Resources.
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of Award Principles
