G4S are looking to recruit a dedicated Project Engineer based out of Belfast, you will successfully manage the Installation, Commissioning, Maintenance and Servicing of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems and other associated systems throughout the United Kingdom.

What will you be doing

• To undertake the Project Management of the Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems and other Related Systems.

• To be responsible for ascertaining viability of designs & liaising with G4S System Design or Consultants.

• To be responsible for compliance with regard to technical auditing and manage compliance with quality standards & regulations

• Assembling & Maintaining customer site files.

• Compiling all O&M Information for hand-over and administration of all relevant engineering paperwork

• To be responsible for the Customer base throughout the UK. Regular UK travel is essential as part of this role.

• To develop and manage site specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements where necessary.

• To attend Site Progress and Specialist Subcontractor meetings when required.

• To provide Technical Support to the G4S System Design, Sales and Engineering Team.

• To effectively manage and maintain your company vehicle to a high standard.

• To comply with the Company Health and Safety requirements.

• To liaise with Customers at a local / site level. To ensure Customer satisfaction.

• To represent the Company in a professional manner.

• To maintain the highest standards of quality.

• To ensure on site Health and Safety requirements are upheld at all times by company employees

• To respond to all communications within an appropriate time. To use Company property responsibly.

• To represent the Company’s best interests.

• To be highly motivated and work on your own, with an excellent attention to detail.

• To work as part of a team of Project Engineers, and provide cover for colleagues on annual leave or sick leave.

• To carry out other duties, which reasonably fall within the remit of the Project Engineer, as requested by the Operations Management Team.

• To provide general problem resolution on site.

What we are looking for

• At least 5 Years Experience in Installing Fire Detection and Alarm systems, Refuge System, WC Alarm Systems and PAVA Systems.

Experience of the following Systems:

1. Gent by Honeywell Vigilon

2. Vigilon Voice product range

3. Baldwin Boxall Refuge System

4. Scope Paging Systems

5. Quantec System

• Experience of working in a Customer facing End User and Site based environments.

• Knowledge of relevant British Standards for Installation and Commissioning of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems and Refuge Alarm Systems.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Computer literate.

• Management of electrical contractors and company approved sub-contractors

• Working knowledge of BS5839-1:2017 and BS7671 Installation Regulations.

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Well organised

• Ability to work on own initiative and manage workload.

• Good attention to detail

There is also some must haves

• Must be able to pass BS7858 screening.
