Protective Intelligence & Travel Risk Management Analyst

Role Overview

The Protective Intelligence & Travel Risk Management Analyst will be responsible for supporting and managing protective intelligence and travel risk management activities across the organization.

The role involves monitoring and assessing real-time intelligence, identifying emerging threats and risks, preparing risk assessments and intelligence reports, monitoring employee travel, and supporting regional and site management teams with timely and actionable intelligence.

The position will work closely with regional Security Operations Centers (SOCs) and other stakeholders to strengthen global monitoring, information sharing, and organizational risk-management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage activities related to the organization's Protective Intelligence & Travel Risk Management Program.
• Monitor, assess, compile, and communicate real-time intelligence, risk assessments, and analytical reports to improve awareness, response capability, and reduce risks to personnel, facilities, and business operations.
• Manage and configure intelligence information systems and sources to improve monitoring efficiency and focus on risks that may impact:

  • Business operations
  • Supply chains
  • Facilities
  • Suppliers
  • Employees and business travelers

• Analyze and highlight emerging and evolving risks that could potentially affect organizational operations.
• Develop a strong understanding of the organization's business activities, assets, operational footprint, and associated risks across different regions.

Key Duties

1. Intelligence Monitoring

Conduct daily monitoring of intelligence and risk-information systems, travel data, open-source media, local situation reports, and other relevant information sources for potential risks to the organization.

2. Risk Alerts & Stakeholder Communication

Proactively monitor developing and potential risks and communicate relevant information to regional and site management teams.

3. Travel Risk Monitoring

Monitor developing risks at employee travel destinations and provide timely information and alerts to travelers where required.

4. Procedures & Operational Cadence

Develop internal procedures and establish standardized daily, weekly, and monthly operating processes and tasks.

5. Intelligence Analysis

Filter, analyze, and distill large volumes of intelligence into relevant, need-to-know information for operational teams, with emphasis on direct business impacts.

6. Risk Information Systems

Serve as a subject matter expert on risk-information systems and advise stakeholders on system configuration and optimization to improve efficiency.

7. Training & Knowledge Sharing

Train relevant teams on intelligence information-system monitoring, configuration, and effective utilization.

8. Global Security Monitoring

Work closely with regional Security Operations Centers (SOCs) to support and establish a 24/7 global monitoring capability.

9. Travel & Executive Risk Assessment

Monitor travel bookings and event schedules and support the development of:

• Travel risk assessments
• Pre-travel security briefings
• Executive protection plans
• Higher-risk travel identification and escalation

10. Process Improvement

Identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve intelligence sharing and risk-management processes across the organization.

11. Intelligence Sources & Methodologies

Develop and enhance intelligence sources and methodologies to improve the organization's overall global intelligence and risk picture.

12. Program Effectiveness

Benchmark and evaluate the effectiveness of protective intelligence and travel risk management activities through regular internal and external reviews.

13. Team Coordination

Establish clear areas of focus and responsibility within the Protective Intelligence team to minimize duplication of effort while maintaining effective collaboration and interoperability across all responsibilities.
