Salary: £65,000 per annum

Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 5:30pm

Location: Churchill Hospital, Oxford, OX3 7LE

 

G4S Facilities Management we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior AP Engineer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis based at Churchill Hospital, Oxford.

 

We are looking for a dynamic and reliable individual who will be responsible and accountable for the day to day management AP functionality across two healthcare PFI contracts.  This role is designed to coordinate the AP functionality and resources within two hard services teams, whilst adopting some AP roles, such as High Voltage.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead a technical team of CPs and APs to deliver a high level of maintenance, remedial and reactive tasks, inclusive of project work in a healthcare environment across two Hospital PFIs.

  • Develop team members to maximise potential by ensuring expertise and resources are in place for service delivery.

  •  Contribute to creating and sharing maintenance plans, compliance details, procedures, guidance, and industry standards.

  • Keep record of personnel qualifications and ensure that a fully qualified and appointed team is available to cover AP and CP duties across both contracts.

  • Generate subject matter reports to validate performance, identify risks, and demonstrate effective service management.

  • Assist the Accommodation Services Manager in monitoring Service Level Tests, reporting on KPIs, planning improvements, and aligning with Contract deliverables.

  • Manage direct teams and supply chain partners to continually achieve incremental improvement in statutory, mandatory and routine compliance performance.

  • Contribute to the development of best practice methodologies that support the assessment of asset condition and which can be used to drive asset maintenance and life cycle planning. 

  • Recommend implementing best practices to reduce costs, improve margins, and gain financial advantage over competitors by drawing from internal and external sources.

  • Build strong client relationships, meeting needs within the Annual Operating Plan.


The Ideal Candidate:

Essential 

  • Qualified Electrical Technician with experience of HV and LV.

  • HV AP (Healthcare) qualification and LV AP (Healthcare) qualification.

  • Healthcare operational management.

  • Experience of operating within a PPP / PFI environment.

  • Experience of CMMS systems integrated with Asset Management.

  • Experience of audit & compliance.

  • Good commercial awareness.

  • Computer literate and able to interrogate computerised data.

  • CAFM experience.

  • Experience of ventilation and medical gas systems.
