Finance & Accounting Supervisor

G4S Hellas Holding, a member of Allied Universal ® - the world’s leading integrated security company, is looking for an experienced and data-oriented Finance & Accounting Supervisor to oversee and manage our general accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular internal audits and financial reviews of all accounting records and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Perform various month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and oversee intercompany balances and transactions

• Meticulously track accruals and prepayments with thorough documentation and calculations

• Calculate, review, and ensure compliance with VAT and other relevant taxes

• Continuously evaluate current accounting processes and propose improvements for optimization.

• Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures in accordance with Greek GAAP

• Lead the annual budget preparation process, coordinating with various departments to gather input and finalize organizational budgets. Monitor budget performance by analyzing actual results versus budget/forecasts, providing variance explanations to management

• Develop and maintain accurate rolling cash flow forecasts (weekly/monthly/quarterly) to manage liquidity, identify funding needs, and optimize working capital. Monitor bank balances and perform treasury-related reconciliations

• Prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial statements, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows. Generate detailed financial reports and analyses for management and stakeholders to support strategic decision-making

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• Proven experience of at least 4+ years as a senior accountant within a multinational organization

• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with operating spreadsheets and ERP software, preferably Microsoft Dynamics

• Mastery of tax and accounting principles adhering to Greek GAAP

• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, etc.) or MS Office Suite

• Expertise in MS Excel or Google Sheets, including advanced functions like Vlookups and pivot tables

• Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Up-to-date knowledge of current financial subjects, accounting practices, and tax laws

• Solid understanding of general ledger functions and accounting cycles
