The Deputy Team Leader is required to work as part of a team on the contract ensuring that service delivery is in line with the Service Schedule of requirements as contracted by the client.
This is high profile site, and the standards required by G4S and the Customer are of the highest order.

Role Responsibility:


Perform the daily/weekly operational routine, which includes:

  • Effective Management of direct reports to ensure that highest levels of Customer Service whilst maintaining the Security of the premises.
  • Disciplinary management of the staff.
  • Supporting the SSM and TLs with effective change management.
  • Ensuring all Care Reports and PPS’s are completed in line with the companies requirements.
  • Ensuring all staff are trained and competent in their roles and an audit trail is kept of all training.
  • The Management of access/egress from the premises and all controlled  areas.
  • Production of written and oral reports, ensuring compliance to client and company procedures.
  • Effective Management of incidents on site.
  • Management of front line staff in line with SOP’s and G4S assignment instructions – reporting any issues to the Team Leader.
  • Management of the access control systems in line with the audit and compliance requirements.
  • All posts fully covered, briefed and correctly deployed
  • Management of daily duties and production of all regular paperwork/logs
  • Correct application of SOP’s & Assignment Instructions across all posts

Educational Requirements/Qualifications
•    Proficient Maths and English to High School Level

•    Proven experience in Security
•    Good understanding of all Security / H&S procedures

Skills and abilities

  • To be able to use security equipment to a good standard i.e radio
  • An excellent standard of Customer care
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.

Personal qualities 

•    Highest levels of integrity and professionalism required at all times

Professional Qualifications/Memberships

•    SIA Door Supervisor Licence or Frontline Guarding
•    SIA CCTV Licence desirable
