Location:  Hybrid working/adhoc site based visits to Kent, Medway and North London area

£32,000 per annum

12 month Fixed Term Contract

Full Time, 40 hours per week

About the Role

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Officer to join our HR Team as a hybrid role within Patient Transport Services. Being a generalist HR Officer with experience of dealing with first level Employee Relations Cases you will provide professional advice, guidance and support to operational and line management to meet the needs of the business in line with legislation and best practice.

 

Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Provide professional HR support, alongside accurate and appropriate advice, to cover HR policies and procedures, to minimise the risk of litigation in accordance with legislation.
  • Lead on first line sickness disciplinaries and other first line level disciplinaries, investigations, grievances and other ER casework as appropriate.
  • Provide accurate data and support in the provision of management information, in order to inform line management of trends and statistics, in accordance with Company requirements.
  • Oversight of the exit interview process and ensuring that quarterly trends are identified and reported on.
  • Lead on p-file management to ensure training for managers on standards and compliance with CQC requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to Line Managers on people matters such as Absence, Disciplinaries, Investigations and Grievances.
  • Ensure that all correspondence and documentation is dealt with in a professional manner and to work flexibly in changing priorities.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Manager to ensure HR function and business needs are met.
  • Management oversight of the screening and vetting process to ensure the security screening process complies with current legislation.
  • Support where necessary, the requirement to check and validate the accuracy of monthly payroll, ensuring that Terms and Conditions, pay rules and deadlines.
  • Support where necessary, with the planning and implementation of the recruitment and selection process to ensure it complies with Company policies and procedures and to meet business needs.
  • Support where necessary, to ensure effective management of absence; assisting in home visits, welfare meetings, return to work, capability processes and occupational health.
  • Support the HR Manager and People BP with ad-hoc projects as required.


The Ideal Candidate:

About you

The ideal candidate for this role will have strong generalist HR experience and dealing with first level ER cases, be able to demonstrate the ability to work to tight deadlines, have the ability to prioritise workload and challenge where necessary.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as working proactively and using your own initiative.

 

It is key that you are flexible and adaptable to deal with ever-changing scenarios.  You will possess strong organisational and IT skills, have experience of working within a fast paced environment in a similar role and will be dedicated to providing a high quality service to both internal and external customers.
