Location: Worksop | Salary: Competitive | Posted: 8 Apr 2025 | Closes: 27 Apr 2025 | Reference: Job Req ID 5153 | Business Unit: Regional FinanceThis is an exciting opportunity to join the General Ledger team as a Finance Manager - Business Partnering on a 14-month fixed-term contract as maternity cover. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at our Regional Office in Worksop. The successful candidate will lead a team to provide a management accounting and reporting service to the UK&I-based businesses, encouraging minimum financial controls are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
- Banking lead
- Business Partnering support
- Provide commercial assistance to various UK&I businesses
- Support the wider business with contract accounting and management accounting services
- Performance management of direct reports, including recruitment, support and coaching
- Managing and producing monthly SGA accounts
- Oversee the production of forecast and budgets
- Control the company credit cards process end to end
- Managing National Statistics process
- Ensuring robust controls and compliance procedures, documenting processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Support with Month End Compliance/Minimum Financial Controls process including monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation reviews and actions
- Review management accounting volumetrics to assess trends to ensure effective resource planning
- Create a professional environment through good leadership and promote achievement-orientated teams

Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- An accountant with minimum of 5 years experience – qualified or studying towards qualification
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace Skills
- Proven track record of working in an accounting environment.
- A strong customer service focus to both internal & external customers
- Must be willing to help, support and encourage other accountants and offer developmental coaching and assistance.
- Ensure fundamental issues are addressed to avoid repeat occurrences.
- Ability to problem-solve escalations relating to production of accounts whilst looking at the wider business impacts and opportunities for process improvements.
Desirable Skills & Knowledge:
- Experience of managing a team
- Knowledge of SAP S/4hana
