We have an opportunity for a Housekeeping Team Leader to join our team at Hinkley Point C, Somerset, TA5 1UD. This is a full time role working 39 hours per week, on an alternating shift pattern and the requirement to work one weekend in four.

 

Shift Pattern:

Monday – Sunday 0530 to 17:30 on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern

 

As Housekeeping Team Leader, you will support the Cleaning Supervisor to supervise and organise a small ‘Site Team’ of Housekeepers to maintain an exceptionally high standard of cleaning across the HPC site, along with associated Development sites identified within scope of the HPC Contract.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • To organise the cleaning schedules and work patterns for the individual site team for which you are responsible.

  • Ensure cleaning duties are carried out in a manner consistent with good Health & Safety Practice (e.g. colour coding).

  • Maintaining the stock of cleaning materials required by the flow team for which you are responsible.

  • To embrace the vision of a ‘Cleaning Structure’ and demonstrate this to your team.

  • To ensure that your team provides appropriate care and maintenance for the materials and equipment they use to carry out their duties. 

  • To ensure that cleaning in your area of responsibility is conducted to the highest possible standard contributing towards our aim of being a leader in the field of Cleaning Services.

  • To ensure colour coding and other such BICSc standards are implemented and adhered to on an ongoing basis.

  • To actively contribute to the contract's ambition of becoming a ‘Cleaning Centre of Excellence’ and a ‘BICSc Regional Training Hub’.

  • To ensure duties carried out by your team are audited by you on a regular basis, identifying areas for improvement and developing action plans to meet that development need.

To be successful in this role, you will be flexible & reliable, have a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and timekeeping and have experience in undertaking a range of cleaning duties. 

 

You will also be able to work in an organised and methodical manner and have the ability to organise and effectively communicate with the team. You should also have the ability to act on your own initiative.
