The Training Specialist will assist the Project Manager with site management and lead training of the daily operations. Responsibilities include assisting in the day to day management of security officer operations; develop, implement and oversight of initial and continued education training of all security officers; assist Project Manager with security officer development; ensure security officer compliance with post orders, policies / procedures and meeting all monthly, quarterly and annual training; and completion of projects as requested by the Project Manager. The Training Specialist will manage the training program for all sites across the client contract.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Lead and manage the training program across all sites
  • New Hire training to contract standards
  • Monthly training of employees to contract standards
  • Assistance with Policy / Procedure review and management
  • Assistance with daily officer operations


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all necessary state or federal licensing requirements
  • Must be able to to obtain and maintain additional training certifications as requested by the client
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, CPR/AHA certification

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in conducting training in a security environment
  • Must have one or more of the following:
    • Law enforcement experience
    • Service in the Elite Military Forces, Military Police or combat arms
    • Graduate of Police / Corrections Academy
    • Career Military
    • Criminal Justice degree, Associates or higher

  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in an environment with little to no direct supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
  • Experience in instruction and evaluation.

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office with minimal work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity: Working on PC, sitting, standing and walking

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, sitting, with minimal and kneeling
