We are looking to recruit a Cleaner to join our  team and provide a high-quality cleaning service. 

We have an opportunity for a cleaner to join our team as part of our contract with Leicester BSF, based at Crown Hills Community College, Leicester, LE5 5FT. This is a term time position working 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 06:00am - 80:30am.

 

Your hourly rate of pay is £9.50. This will be paid to you as an annual salary on a “spread over basis” based on a 43.188 week contract; this is 39 weeks term time and 4.188 weeks of annual leave entitlement, inclusive of bank holidays. Your annual salary is: £5,128.57. This calculation is done as follows: Hourly Rate x Weekly Working Hours x 43.188.


 

You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the school. Daily duties will include dusting, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming, Collection and disposal of waste materials and replacement of liners. You will need to be able to document stock levels of cleaning materials, maintain a record of cleaning activities and report all defects/ hazards in line with the G4S reporting procedures.



 

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

 

  • To carry out all cleaning assigned, making full use of guidance and training given, using checklists provided.

  • Use all materials & consumables in accordance with laid down practices ensuring economic use of resources.

  • Collection, segregation and disposal of waste materials, replacement of liners, in accordance with policies.

  • Undertake manual and mechanical cleaning activities in accordance with the cleaning schedule.

  • Comply with methods of cleaning required for areas.

  • Ensure that all cleaning schedules are completed and checked on a daily basis.

  • Provide emergency cleaning for sickness/holiday cover.

  • Check and observe cleaning to be carried out in accordance with schedule.

  • Must use the appropriate work equipment and PPE provided report safety deficiencies and accidents through line manager.

  • Ensure all equipment works correctly and is cleaned and correctly stored after use.

  • Ensure strict confidentiality concerning the school.

  • Report any maintenance required to the Premises Officer and advise a member of the Management team.

  • Managing cleaning schedule in the light of school/community use.

  • Attend both internal and external training courses as required.

  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by Management.

  • Work safely and be able to deliver required objectives.
