Role Responsibility:

Reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition, this position is responsible for providing focused support to the operations of the business through direct branch interaction. This position will focus on day to day recruitment and talent acquisition strategies that are effective based on region, client site and position.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES, but not limited to:

  • Health and Safety focus for G4S employees and clients accordingly
  • Responsibility for recruitment of junior corporate roles as well as guard recruitment support for branches nationwide.
  • Management of job postings on the Applicant Tracking System, social media and all email campaigns – ensuring uniformity across the country
  • Foster community partnerships by liaising with colleges to supplement guard recruitment activities – researching contacts, ad portals and liaising with security guard training organizations
  • Recruitment research including sourcing out relevant job boards and advertising mediums
  • Sourcing of candidates using creative search techniques. Researching the security industry Colleges, training partners and other groups within or external to the security industry to identify candidates suitable for G4S clients
  • Project management and pipeline management of candidates for various recruitment drives
  • Assess and coordinate in house/out of office job fairs. Create a career/job fair calendar
  • Inventory management of swag
  • Maintain updated job descriptions for hourly roles and monitor job postings to maintain brand integrity
  • Liaise with marketing department on recruitment collateral
  • Assist with ongoing recruiter training as needed
  • Reception cover as needed


The Ideal Candidate:

Formal Education, Licenses and Certifications Required:

  • Must have a College Diploma or equivalent experience. Post-Secondary education is considered an asset.
  • Experience with mass recruitment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Skills Required:

  • Efficiency in oral and written communication
  • Managing client recruitment needs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Superior customer service orientation
  • Coaching, mentoring, motivating
  • Managing security staffing levels
  • Promotes Health & Safety in the workplace
  • Basic understanding and comprehension of financial concepts
  • Provide regular reports and updates internally

OTHER RELATED ATTRIBUTES THAT WOULD ENHANCE HIRING CONSIDERATION:

  • Prior recruitment agency or security-related recruitment experience
  • Experience hiring customer service or minimum wage staff at short notice
