We have an exciting opportunity for a full time, permanent Software Developer to join our team in Manchester.  As a Software Developer you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, integrating, supporting and contributing to the development of the systems which underpin the G4S Electronic Monitoring Service. Role Responsibility:

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Working with colleagues to undertake logical and technical systems design activity.
  • Carry out development in accordance with the agreed requirements and development standards
  • Develop, maintain and unit test of software deliverables
  • Continuous integration and deployment using  TFS / Jenkins toolset
  • Focus on low risk, minimal downtime deployments into the production platform.
  • Work with colleagues to develop Test Automation solutions using tools including Selenium and PostMan
  • Working in an Agile team with IT Systems Delivery colleagues 
  • Support the ongoing provision of 24x7 IT services through the handling of operational incidents, problems and undertaking root cause analysis.


The Ideal Candidate:

Our ideal candidate would be a self-starter and strong team player, with a professional attitude and the ability to work with Business Analysts and Front-end Developers in ensuring all software integration is achieved in a consistent and effective manner.  They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
