 Production of fire/security systems drawings, building layouts, technical submissions and manuals for Customers in both schematic and layout form throughout the UK and overseas as and where necessary. Relevant security clearance is a requirement for this role.
  • Producing CAD drawings & manuals of varying complexity according to the needs to designers, sales & operations
  • Ensuring all drawings and documentation are produced to a high quality standard without errors
  • Managing a number of drawing tasks at any one time and prioritising according to need
  • The production of Technical Submittal documents for bid responses as required by the design team
  • Responsible for document management within the design team
  • Ensuring all output is produced in line with agreed timescales and delivered to the agreed deadline
  • Adherence to Company’s policies and procedures
  • Carrying out peer review of other CAD engineers work to ensure an error free environment and that quality and consistency is kept high across the team
  • Maintenance of the CAD environment within the relevant office (Physical & Software)


The Ideal Candidate 

  • In depth knowledge and at least 3 years’ experience working in a CAD environment in a building layout / construction capacity
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Good knowledge of Office applications (Google & MS)
  • Able to interpret Customer’s detailed drawings
  • Good level of customer service and customer liaison skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to work on own initiative and be a team player within a team environment
  • Proven ability manage a work load with quickly changing and often conflicting priorities
  • Willing to work out of business hours where deadlines necessitate
  • 5 Year checkable work history or evidence to support any period of unemployment, self- employment or time spent in fulltime education during that period
  • Right to work unrestricted in the UK/EU
  • UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
  • A willingness to undergo enhanced security clearance if required (SC and DV)
  • CAD Certified with a formal CAD qualification or willing to train and qualify within 6 months of appointment
