The supervisor of the Global Security Operations Center and physical security is an exciting opportunity to participate in real-world, high-profile projects of a technology industry leader.

The GSOC Supervisor will ensure the proficient monitoring of and response to various alarm, access control and emergency notification systems for many of the client’s facilities globally and will also ensure actions consistent with documented policies and procedures are adhered to by the technician staff. The GSOC Supervisor will also be responsible for staff scheduling, training, and disciplinary items. This position works under limited supervision, requires excellent multi-tasking skills and a high degree of successful decision making during stressful situations.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Manage day to day operations in the GSOC; ensure alarms, emails, and other tasks are properly completed and documented
  • Manage day to day operations of physical security in multiple locations; ensure patrols and other items are properly completed and documented
  • Oversee coordination with security staff to provide necessary documentation in support of uniformed security officer activity (e.g. Officer dispatch, Incident Reporting, etc.)
  • Create reports of security activity (Secure Trax patrol data, Lenel and Milestone user activity including alarm review and conclusion)
  • Process and evaluate information received from all available sources and respond with the appropriate communication and dispatch procedures
  • Implement security and operational policies for the GSOC and other security personnel, in coordination with client’s Security Manager
  • Ensure all systems, both hardware and software, are functioning properly
  • Oversee response protocols in regard to incidents, alarms, notifications, calls and other activities related to the GSOC and its role as a central alarm monitoring station
  • Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls from client employees, outside vendors, law enforcement, and the security field force via telephone, automated alarm monitoring, radio systems, and email
  • Operations support; routing of call information to the appropriate units for action
  • Utilize closed circuit television for situational awareness, threat management, and investigative purposes
  • Perform key access control functions and run access control reports
  • Check alarms and other audible notifications in the office and pass information related to these alarms to local facilities contacts
  • Operate IP based telephone system; use multi-channel radio communications
  • Perform the normal duties of a uniformed security officer (e.g. patrol the office interior and exterior, conduct escorts, check badges, coordinate activity with the GSOC, etc.)


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of security experience
  • Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or managerial experience
  • Work experience must include the following:
    • Ability to use logic and reasoning to reach conclusions and approach problems
    • Demonstrated high level of competency with advanced computer systems (e.g., hardware, software, and networks)
    • Possession of highly proficient computer skills including Google Suite applications (e.g. Gmail, Drive, Docs, etc.)
    • Ability to communicate effectively with Information Technology and Security Systems professionals
    • Demonstrated ability to operate radio, telephone equipment and/or console monitors
    • Flexibility to work various shifts and willingness to assist the team when needed
    • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and work under extreme pressure
    • Ability to manage a workforce both in person and remotely

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher

  • Must possess a demonstrated ability to operate radio, telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:  Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:  Working on a PC while sitting, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, and limited stretching and reaching
