The incumbent will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly financial analysis reports, developing and maintaining department budgets and generating cost reports. The incumbent will also collect pertinent information for internal and external audits. Additionally duties will be support the Corporate Controller with monthly reporting and analysis to stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
- Compile and report financial information to Senior Management.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Prepare month end journal entries.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Analyze inter-company transactions.
- Assist management with various projects and other accounting and analytical work as needed.
- Other general accounting duties.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
BS/BA degree in Accounting, with 2+ years of experience in the accounting field. Prior experience in a construction environment is beneficial. Audit experience is a plus. Other desirable experience would include prior general knowledge of Great Plains and Microsoft Office applications with a high proficiency in Excel. If required by job responsibilities, the incumbent must possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction contracts, construction drawings and specifications, common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to effectively present information to upper management and public groups as necessary both in written or oral formats.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit; use hand and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The incumbent may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. And occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
