The Sr. Manager, Reconciliation will be responsible for leading Retail Cash Solutions day-to-day reconciliation services provided to our clients. The reconciliation services include leading a team of 10+ associates that are reconciling bank exceptions and variances as well as assisting in the process of reconciling the store POS sales to cash on hand, and/or bank debits/credits.  This role is a key influencer in the development and execution of RCS’s reconciliation product offering and works closely with the product and technology teams.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Ensure RCS’s reconciliation product offering is executed per client’s business rules
  • Create and lead a high performing team  
  • Conduct performance appraisals, give positive and motivational feedback, discipline, and other personnel actions in regard to those under his/her direct supervision
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement ensuring root causes are identified and fixed
  • Identify inadequate or unnecessary manual processes and develop a scalable automated solution
  • Identify and be held accountable for key performance metrics
  • Ensure client’s POS daily cash sales match bank credit/debit for the accounting/deposit day
  • Work with banks to clear exceptions and variances
  • Actively participate in the inventory management product evolution and enhancements
  • Build relationships with customers and banks and deliver quality service
  • Problem solver with the ability to look at and solve issues in new creative ways 

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience involving retail and/or banking reconciliation
  • Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of client relationship engagement or customer service skills
  • Must possess experience managing a team or work experience showing exceptional leadership skills
  • Must possess proven success in driving continuous improvement and automation

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google Applications
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must possess strong analytical aptitude
  • Must possess critical thinking skills
  • Must possess the ability to deliver quality work within required deadlines
  • Must possess intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:        Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching.
