As a Data Center Site Training Manager, you will oversee all training of security personnel at his/her assigned data center for client’s site training. The Site Training Manager will ensure that all mandated on-the-job training and advanced security training is implemented in an effective and timely manner. This position will also oversee the Data Center Site Trainer and ensure all Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) training is completed and in compliance. Additionally, the Training Manager will conduct all retraining after disciplinary action.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Manage and continuously develop subordinate (Data Center Site Trainer)
  • Oversee completion and compliance of both Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) and client site training
  • Conduct all retraining after Compliance Officer disciplinary action
  • Supervise security officer training program; develop, prepare, and teach appropriate training programs; conduct and/or oversee all training for security personnel at assigned data center; data entry; filing and records maintenance; ensure training compliance
  • Identify training needs; develop and/or customize training courses, content and materials; oversee and deliver training; evaluate effectiveness; and make adjustments as necessary to improve training and outcomes
  • deliver appropriate course content and motivate trainees by implementing effective training methodologies in both classroom and practical/hands-on situations, use a variety of methodologies, techniques, and learning tools to maximize training effectiveness
  • Mentor and supervise Compliance Officers in all matters related to security officer training
  • Monitor and measure effectiveness of all training programs, prepare compliance reports and identify areas for improvement associated with contract-specific policies, practices, and procedures
  • Provide regular reports to management regarding training initiatives, scheduling and effectiveness of employee and organizational development initiatives
  • Develop and implement method of measuring the effectiveness of training programs

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess one ore more of the following:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in criminal justice, education. or a closely related major
    • A minimum of four (4) years of experience training a group in a traditional classroom setting
  • Ability to meet and maintain any licenses or certifications required by the state
  • Must possess a current and valid driver’s license

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Work history must indicate a proficiency in training methodologies, curriculum development, and course design
  • Work history must demonstrate documented coursework and/or training in the delivery of adult educational material
  • Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience delivering traditional classroom instruction, computer-based training, and/or on-the-job training

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be proficient at utilizing current computer-based training technology and related equipment in the delivery of on-the job training and advanced security training programs.
  • Must be willing to work across shifts as needed to facilitate training needs
  • Must be willing and able to travel on occasion and on short notice
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:        Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, sitting, with minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
