The Critical Facility Shift Supervisor protects our client's critical facilities those buildings whose size, location, associate population, and critical business functions creates a unique threat level that requires a more robust and proactive security awareness. The Critical Facility Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the professional operation, administration, profitability, and quality assurance of uniformed services for a single shift at the facility.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Priority Specific Task or Responsibility
  • Ensure that tasks are completed on time; handle multiple demands for commitment of time, energy, and resources
  • Oversight of security patrols of designated areas on foot patrol or in a vehicle
  • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
  • Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
  • Communicate facts and ideas clearly both orally or in writing
  • Basic policy and procedure enforcement per client-specific post orders
  • Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
  • Mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy; interpret behavior and emotional patterns in individuals and groups, communicate facts and ideas clearly both orally or in writing
  • Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
  • Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
  • Interpret rules and regulations
  • Investigate and prepares reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities. Maintains written logs as required by the post
  • Research, investigate, and compile information; formulates relevant questions and develops ways to supply and clarify answers
  • Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Listen actively and attentively

 


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must submit to any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Must submit to a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess verifiable work history showing reliability
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • 3 years of civilian law enforcement
    • 3 years of private or corporate security experience
    • 3 years of military experience with a positive discharge
    • Criminal Justice or law enforcement related degree, Associates or higher
    • Graduate of a law enforcement training academy

  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

  • Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Be able to work flexible schedules
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Environment: Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold/heat.

Major activity: Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, sitting, with minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
