Role Responsibility:

This role and contract sit within our Facilities Management sector of G4S where we aim to improve the lives of people across the UK and Ireland by creating productive, safe and smooth working environments.

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Electrical Engineer with relevant EICR, HV & LV qualifications to undertake electrical based Facilities Management on behalf of G4S at Churchill Hospital Oxford, OX3 7LJ.  

The hours of work are 40 per week, Monday to Friday, covering various shifts. The salary for this role is £40,000 to £50,000, depending on experience.

 

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out maintenance, inspection and repairs to various types of electrical systems.
  • Diagnose faults on Electrical support systems and rectify where necessary.
  • Deal effectively and safely with breakdowns and damage to assets, including out of hours response where necessary.
  • Write up maintenance reports and technical procedures for Building Maintenance Activities.
  • Assist in the training and development of other Maintenance/Technical staff involved in site maintenance activities.
  • Act as a HV / LV AP on site and undertake specialist works, including planning of these.
  • Promote Health and Safety.
  • Assist in the development of maintenance routines, procedures, risk assessments and preparing and maintaining relevant technical records.
  • Offer alternatives to improve the effectiveness of the operation of the site and review current legislation and regulations.


The Ideal Candidate:

Essential Criteria:

  • Fully qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer.
  • 18th Edition (IET) Wiring Regulations
  • Experience of Building and Facilities Maintenance.
  • HV/LV trained working towards AP status.

Desirable Criteria:

  • High level specialism in Mechanical Systems.
  • Experience of BMS systems.
  • Periodic Inspection & Testing.
  • Electrical Safety & Part P.
  • Portable Appliance.
  • Testing (EAL or City & Guilds).
