Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Provide top quality supervision and training support, service and materials to security officers
  • Use materials in the form of Electronic Programs, Learning Modules, Learning Programs, Workbooks, books, videotapes, audiotapes, CD ROMs, computer-based training modules, and on-line training resources to enhance security training
  • Interface with site training manager for specialized learning such as the American Heart Association to obtain outside endorsements to produce new training materials and programs
  • Use on-line resources via the G4S North America Training Institute and other G4S portal applications as needed to maintain schedules and training entries (as needed)
  • Conduct qualitative analysis of training, staffing and overtime reduction needs and report findings to G4S management
  • Respond to requests from G4S management to provide additional supervision / training to security officers

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a current and valid driver's license
  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in conducting training in a security environment
  • Must have one or more of the following:
    • Service in the active duty military, military reserves, or National Guard
    • Service in Auxiliary Police or Police Cadets
    • Meaningful and verifiable work history
    • Minimum of one year verifiable and successful security experience
    • Associate's degree or higher in any discipline
  • Must possess a minimum of 1 year verifiable experience with all the following:
    • Working independently and leading others to common goals and objectives
    • Achieving results in a fast paced collaborative work environment
    • Delivering a work-product indicating attention to detail and problem-solving
    • Meeting the internal goals and objectives of a large complex security organization
    • Using Web technologies for continuing education units and on the job training

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office and manufacturing

Major activity: Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting and walking manufacturing floor

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, ability to maneuver up to 50 pounds, and limited stretching and reaching
