Role Responsibility:

Main Purpose of Job

Reporting to the Section Manager – Vaults, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the vault, work is completed to schedule and to company standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the audit trail, ensuring that all containers are properly balanced and accounted for.


The Role

 Maintain / use the VIPER Management system to the required standard ensuring all information is accurately updated.  Allocate work daily and inform relevant departments about changes.

 Consistently monitors vault performance and seeks continuous improvement to operational efficiency and effectiveness.

 Undertake to train vault officers where necessary and identify any training requirements to line manager.

 Ensures all customer/machine keys are managed effectively. This includes a regular documented audit of all keys.

 A sound knowledge of Viper, viper for coin and branch security.

 Able to communicate with colleagues and staff.

 Ability to work on own initiative within Company guidelines.

 Supporting team members to develop skills.

 Actively challenge current thinking to improve business performance.

 Manages staff to maintain the highest level of customer care.

 Undertake training courses, briefings and cascade information to staff as required.

 Ensure that all relevant legislative and Company procedures and standards (Health and Safety, Security) are adhered to.

 Is aware of, and works within authority limits.

 Treating people fairly with respect, impartiality and consistency – as you would be expected to be treated yourself.

 Ensure timely and accurate rostering of staff and time sheets allowing all resources to be managed effectively.

 Continually brief workforce on operational and company matters at least once a month.

 Any other duties, as directed by Line Manager, within level of competence




The Ideal Candidate:

 Ability to work variable shift patterns.

 Computer literate.

 Experience working in a Vault operation or warehouse style environment 


We also have some specific security criteria that you will need to meet:
 You must be able to pass a criminal record check as well as a personal credit and ID check.
 You must also have a 10 year employment/unemployment/educational history that we can check and verify.
 You will need to be prepared to undergo airport style searches when entering and leaving our premises and be comfortable working within a secure, confined and highly regulated environment.

Pay starts at £13.10 per hour, rising to £13.40 after 6 months, rising to £13.70 after 12 months (plus night allowance if applicable)
