G4S Canada - Security Supervisor  Team Lead - Residential

Job Introduction:

(G4S), including but not limited to: criminal police information check (CPIC), background check, minimum age and minimum education (high school diploma or foreign equivalency, or earned GED). Role Responsibility:

Reporting: Reports to the Site Supervisor and G4S Area Manager
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervisor and possibly the client with timely, appropriate communication
  • Act and represent as a leader while on shift
  • Orchestrate and support an inclusive and professional team environment while on duty
  • Responsible for knowing all important details, incidents/ occurrences of entire shift.
  • Responsible for communication amongst team while on duty
  • Responsible for allotting/overseeing break periods fairly for team while on shift
  • Ensure/oversee that all reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Take the lead/assist with noise complaint investigations
  • Open lines of communication with the supervisor over any concerns (Staff, site, environment, duties ect.)
  • Assist the supervisor in troubleshooting new challenges that may arise
  • Troubleshoots to identify and divert any potential problems during shift.
  • Ensures that all personnel/posts are onsite/covered and prepared for duty at the beginning of every shift
  • Take lead on communicating with scheduling should an issue arise on site pertaining to a personnel absence/sickness ect.
  • Enforce/ uphold rules and regulations to maintain order within the site
  • Must be knowledgeable of the operating systems and equipment to facilitate/monitor the site
  • Ensure that the site safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other emergencies
  • Be able and ready to conduct site training for fellow security personnel
  • Must be knowledgeable on the site/G4S policies, systems, and code of conduct
  • Assist or be able to conduct initial investigations by collecting, documenting information and/or evidence received.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Client, Operations and/or G4S Management.

The Ideal Candidate:

Essential Employment Requirements

  • Minimum 1 years of Security Experience
  • Minimum 1 year Supervisory Experience

The Ideal Candidate will demonstrate

  • Past experience in supervising/leading a security team
  • Past experience in managing challenging security situations
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing and observation skills
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional judgment, common sense and decision-making ability
  • Good physical well-being and able to walk, run, stand for long periods of time, climb stairs and lift objects
  • Ability to operate security equipment/systems, camera recording systems, computers and radios
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Willing to take courses as required by G4S and or clients
