Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

As a Security Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the professional operation, administration, profitability and quality assurance of uniformed security services for a client's site. You will be the main liaison between the Customer and G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. You will also manage the day-to-day physical security operation to achieve appropriate safeguarding of client assets, employees, and visitors.
 
In this role, you will:
  • Oversee customer relations, ensure Physical Security Surveys and post orders are updated regularly, and review disciplinary actions for consistency and propriety
  • Provide supervision to Shift Supervisors and Security Officers (e.g., implement standard security operations at the site, and ensure compliance through supervision)
  • Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met; quality assurance and contract compliance
  • Coordinate with Human Resources personnel on recruiting efforts
  • Maintain overtime to a preset requirement designated by G4S

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

Here's the minimum you'll need to be a successful Site Supervisor:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass any state required training or other qualification for licensing
  • Must be able to pass a state licensing test for driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
  • Must possess a current and valid Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Security Officer License issued by the State of California

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Minimum of 1 year of verifiable and successful supervisory/management experience in a protective service field (e.g., military, corrections, law enforcement, private security, loss prevention, etc.)

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately

  • Ability to coach, mentor, motivate

Other Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible schedules
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity: Working on PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, light lifting, and limited stretching and reaching
