Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

As a Security Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for administering the security contract and ensuring compliance with the regulatory and contractual requirements. You will act as G4S liaison with the client, law enforcement agencies, customers, and employees. You will also be responsible for management oversight and driving operational accountability through effective change management and leadership development processes. In addition, you will plan, organize, direct, and control the operational and administrative activities of the contract on a day to day basis as well as propose and implement proactive measures to improve performance and expand the operation. This individual is directly accountable for the success, performance, compliance, and public perception of the program. In this role, you will:
  • Provide direct supervision to security officers; ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security officers have been met.
  • Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting site security personnel and their job performance
  • Prepare reports as required and provide assistance to site visitors and client employees in a courteous and professional manner
  • Maintain overtime to G4S requirements
  • Other operations-related functions, including payroll; review and maintain incident reports; issue uniforms as needed; coordinate vehicles
  • Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
  • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
  • Sound alarms or call police/fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
  • Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles
  • Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

Here's the minimum you'll need to be a successful Site Supervisor:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Must possess a current and valid driver's license

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

You will also need to possess one or more of the following:

  • Service in the active duty military, military reserves, or National Guard
  • Service in Auxiliary Police or Police Cadets
  • Minimum of one year verifiable and successful supervisory experience in security-related industry
  • Associate's degree or higher in any discipline

Skills Required

You also need to possess the following skills:

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
  • Ability to coach, mentor, motivate

Other Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible schedules
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Indoor and outdoor; some exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity: Working on PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, light lifting, and limited stretching and reaching
