As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting the Site Manager with administering the security contract and ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. This position will act as assistant to the Site Manager for our client's operations center. You will also be a liaison with customers, and employees. In addition, you will be responsible for providing supervisory oversight and driving operational accountability through effective change, supervision, and leadership development processes.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Analyze, make decisions, and assume responsibility for the security plan for assigned location on a 24/7 basis
  • Determine deployment and shift activities of security personnel at the assigned location and determine appropriate security responses to incidents
  • Design and lead site watch initiatives, monitoring and protecting facilities and assets
  • Respond, report and investigate incidents, follow through with law enforcement authorities and manage the location during emergency situations
  • Monitor the facility during inclement weather or other periods when the location is closed
  • Determine actions to take and documents to complete for a written record of the incidents to meet company reporting requirements
  • Provide immediate verbal updates of serious incidents to the Site Manager, Operations Manager and/or General Manager
  • Directly supervise and direct work of site supervisor(s) of contracted security providers

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Three (3) years civilian law enforcement
    • Three (3) years private or corporate security experience
    • Three (3) years military experience with a positive discharge
    • Criminal Justice Degree or law enforcement related degree, Associates or higher
    • Graduate of a law enforcement training academy
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Minimum of two (2) years supervisory/management experience in the military, law enforcement, or equivalent security service related field
    • Minimum of one (1) year of work experience with G4S

  • Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age
  • Must have a basic understanding of physical security best practices
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office and field work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity: Working on PC while sitting; telephone and radio use; conducting facility visits, inspections and surveys

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, and limited stretching and reaching
