As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of client facility during a specific shift; ensure contract compliance by regularly inspecting the post and facility assigned; supervise security staff; and conducting performance evaluations. The Shift Supervisor will act as the senior contractor security officer on duty in the absence of the Site Supervisor. Other duties include, but are not limited to, safety direction, quality assurance, planning, organizing, and directing the security team during normal and emergency operations.

**$300 of bonus will be paid as follows: $150 after 60 days of continuous employment, and $150 after 90 days of continuous employment. Bonus amount is subject to applicable federal and state income withholdings.**

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Provide supervision to security officers assigned to his/her shift
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling and on-site training for security officers assigned to his/her shift
  • Manage the access control system in accordance with regulations and corporate security standards
  • Integrate post orders with standards and regulations
  • Planning turn-around and special access issues by coordinating with third-party, client, and external personnel
  • Reinforce employee, contractor, and visitor compliance with security requirements
  • Provide reports to client and/or G4S as directed
  • Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Conduct performance appraisals and implement and/or recommend progressive disciplinary actions
  • Assist with payroll functions and prepare and review client required reporting


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Must be able to pass a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice
    • Prior or current military service
    • Prior or current law enforcement experience

  • Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

Other

  • Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the State
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must possess demonstrated proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
  • Must able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
  • Upon acceptance of a job offer, must be able to pass the following:
    • MMPI - Psychological testing
    • Physical exam

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Indoor with minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures

Major activity: Working on a PC while sitting, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Sitting, observing, typing. Minimal standing or walking. Little to no reaching, or kneeling.
