Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Primary liaison between G4S Secure Solutions USA and client senior management
  • General Courthouse Operations management; review post orders and make recommendations to corporate security when updates should be considered; review daily log reports and provides pass downs as required; responsible for officers meeting company standards pertaining to quality of work performed on an ongoing basis
  • Performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • General training management; ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met; quality assurance and contract compliance
  • General human recourses management (indirect); coordinate with Human Resources personnel on recruiting efforts
  • Scheduling; maintain overtime to a preset requirement designated by G4S
  • Administer G4S Safety Program; semi-annually review and revise the security Emergency Response plan, Courthouse Evacuation Plan


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess an Associate’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice or a related field
  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Pass a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL)

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible, security related experience in a courthouse environment
  • Work history to include all of the following:
    • Demonstrated understanding of security operations
    • Knowledge of card access, security and safety systems to include screening process
    • Ability to act in a decisive manner in emergency situations
    • Strong managerial skills and the ability to assert oneself
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Demonstrated planning, organizational and project management skills

  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:        Working on PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, and limited stretching and reaching
