G4S Secure Solutions (Ire) are currently recruiting for a  Security Operations Support Manager position within the manufacturing environment based in Cork for an immediate date 

€45,000 per annum 

Main purpose of position:

The Operations Support Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day security operations. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the client Regional Security Manager for professional alignment and to the client HR for daily management and key stakeholder engagement.

 Your Key Responsibilities will be: 

  • To ensure that properly trained staff operate defined site specific SOPs, that additional service obligations are met and that customer issues are resolved promptly
  • Review site specific operation procedures and update in the light of customer requirements, risk assessments, site experience and security industry developments.
  • Support the maintenance of ISO accreditation ensuring that documented processes and procedures are adhered to on  site. 
  • Manage security personnel to ensure that all staff adhere to site specific SOPs and that staff adhere to company codes of conduct, HR policies and H&S guidelines.
  • Manage and control hiring of new guards being recruited for the contract.
  • Manage the expectations of the Regional Security Manager
  • Understand the full spectrum of the security disciplines within the new corporate world
  • Form and develop relationships with key stakeholders by offering high standard  of security support
  • Understand the client  values and the importance of reflecting those values in the security function
  • Help create a security culture and influence by means of an open door policy, a positive and secure working environment
  • A good understanding of basic security competencies
  • Awareness of basic Risk Management and Security Risk Management processes to compile such assessments
  • Training, Shaping and Developing  a man guarding team
  • Follow and align with company policies and procedures but also to challenge and make recommendations
  • Capable of managing both emergency and crisis scenarios and aware of their unique differences
  • Can contribute well with a collaborative mind-set to the Health and Safety discipline


About you:

  • 5+ years client relationship management experience in the security industry
  • 3rd level qualification, minimum diploma level 
  • Proven track record in customer relations management
  • Experience is staff training and program building 
  • Experience managing a global client supporting the Regional security manager  within  multisite locations
  • Leadership / People management
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance record

  • PSA licenced as a minimum
  • Level 5 Security  Certification or above desirable
