The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a SOC Team Leader. As a SOC Team Leader, you will respond and answer to all alarm systems, and operate and monitor closed circuit television equipment; and be the base of communications for an on-site radio system, acting as the initial customer interface for security services. This position will contact and coordinate with local agencies in the event of an emergency, maintain working knowledge for emergency medical dispatch (EMD), dispatch all assignments as directed by the Shift Supervisor, enforce all of the client's security policies and regulations per their security requirements, and report all unusual circumstances or incidents to the Shift Supervisor and the client's Facilities Management as appropriate. Report and eliminate hazardous conditions and actions, and investigate and report complaints. You will also provide emergency assistance as necessary, liaise with vendors and suppliers as required, and perform all other duties per post orders.​

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Monitor CCTV
  • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
  • Ensuring compliance requirements are met in all aspects
  • Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
  • Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements.
  • Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
  • Monitoring building internal alarms and fire exit door alarms
  • Perform other duties as requested by client to include maintaining up to date company documentation
  • Management of reception area, visitors, and staff
  • Same day inactive card suspension and deletions
  • On the job staff training
  • First aid response (once fully trained); incident/emergency response and reporting


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary state or federal licensing requirements

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Minimum of two years verifiable and successful security experience
    • Minimum of one year verifiable Security Operations Center experience
    • Service in the active duty military, military reserves or National Guard
    • Service in auxiliary police or police cadets

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:  Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity:  Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Standing, walking, and sitting.  Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
