As a Lead Operations Analyst, you will provide customer service to a high profile client by performing a detailed analysis utilizing intelligence gathering and reporting techniques and methodologies.  This role is not a research position, but will be responsible for deciphering information, intelligence, and events in a meaningful way that will aid the business in mitigating risk, exposure, and impacts globally to its people, assets and brand.  The Lead Operations Analyst will initiate intelligence reporting of all events deemed significant within a specified period of time, focusing primarily on proactive analysis and prevention.  This position will provide information that will be used by client and G4S Security Managers to make decisions regarding preventative measures, real-time response, as well as produce required reports and assessments as needed and upon client request.  This position requires the ability to work flexible schedules (shift work) as directed.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Develop internal and external relationships with customers/clients to gain understanding and recognize their business intelligence requirements
  • Collect and validate intelligence, assessing the credibility of source information and the reliability of sources of information
  • Collaborate and liaise with both G4S and client staff to collate the essential elements of intelligence to develop and provide a comprehensive view of the whole risk, threat or business landscape
  • Establish and maintain efficient working relationships with the general public, public safety and intelligence offices of local, state, federal and international agencies
  • Gather, disseminate and use the intelligence material in compliance client classification restrictions, legal, procedural and policies
  • Produce actionable intelligence information for delivery to security operations, executive management and customers in the form of technical reports, briefings, and data feeds
  • Proof-read briefings, white papers, executive summaries, attend meetings and perform other tasks that communicate and execute plans for the MSOC Manager
  • Advise the organization on technical aspects of office administration/support functions to include providing internal reports/form control and file management; develop and implement office administration procedures
  • Participate in business continuity exercises, internal reviews and self-assessments

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Associate’s degree or higher in Emergency Management, Business, Economics, Systems Engineer, Computer Science or similar
    • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years verifiable and successful experience in a security related position 
  • Must obtain and maintain active Security Officer License from North Carolina Private Protective Services Board

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in the crisis management, emergency response, or emergency communications field
  • Minimum of one (1) year of successful work experience in a security command center setting
  • Prior work or educational experience with Microsoft Office and Windows based software applications
  • Demonstrated interest in monitoring and evaluating international developments in an academic, business, or government capacity
  • Work history to include strong use of information and communications technology

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be able to prepare and present complex intelligence reports, program performance and other relevant information in a professional manner, including written reports, verbal presentations and briefings to senior management
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be able to produce detailed, concise and timely work products under pressure
  • Must possess strong analytical, research, and writing abilities
  • Must be able to identify and understand international political and security issues that are relevant to business operations
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with senior colleagues and work in a dynamic team environment
  • Must be able to take the initiative and thrive independently once an assignment is explained
  • Must have a consistent, detailed-oriented approach to all assignments
  • Must be proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, as well as internet and social media research techniques
  • Must be able to work on a shift rotation to include evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, etc
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office/Control Center; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major Activity: Working on PC and using telephone while sitting or standing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching
