You’ll be the first port-of-call in ensuring the safety of our customers and clients based on a large manufacturing site in Sunderland, with full site training and support every step of the way.
We are looking for an experienced Security Officer to join us on a full-time permanent basis to work on the site's busy gatehouse. This role will run a 3 day, 3 night, 3 off shift pattern to cover days, nights and weekends.
The nature of this site means that previous security experience is a must. If you have a keen interest in keeping people safe and secure, come and join our team. We know you'll get off to a flying start!
A typical week will have you based at a large manufacturing plant, ensuring visitors, staff and the premises remain safe and secure. Other elements of the role will include:
- Building relationships with employers and community organisations
- Working as part of a team and on your own depending on site requirements
- Patrols of the site on foot and in a mobile patrol vehicle
- Responding to security breaches
- Access control
You'll be responsible for a wide variety of duties including the management of visitor passes, liaising with customers, gatehouse duties, checking in contractors, reception duties, alarm calls, issuing passes and visitor vehicle checks

Who You Are:
If you are aged 18 or over and are a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service all times, then this could be the career for you! We are looking for an experienced officer already holding an SIA licence.
Our contractual requirements mean that you will work on a full-time permanent basis, working a combination of days and nights. The requirement of this role means you will need to have a full UK driving licence and the ability to commute to the site.
