As a Security Officer for G4S, variety is guaranteed.  Your day-to-day duties will adapt to meet the demand of the business and will ensure no two days are exactly the same.  

You’ll be the first port-of-call in ensuring the safety of our customers and clients based on a large warehouse site in Liverpool, with full site training and support every step of the way. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic Security Officer to join us on a full-time permanent basis. This role will run a 3 day, 3 night, 3 off shift pattern to cover days, nights and weekends. 


Whilst we welcome experienced officers, previous experience is not a must as we can offer full SIA training. If you have a keen interest in keeping people safe and secure, come and join our team.  We know you'll get off to a flying start!


A typical week will have you based at a large manufacturing plant, ensuring visitors, staff and the premises remain safe and secure. Other elements of the role will include:

  • Building relationships with employers and community organisations
  • Working as part of a team and on your own depending on site requirements
  • Patrols of the site on foot and in a mobile patrol vehicle
  • Responding to security breaches
  • Access control


You'll be responsible for a wide variety of duties including the management of visitor passes, liaising with customers, gatehouse duties, checking in contractors, reception duties,  alarm calls, issuing passes and visitor vehicle checks

Our contractual requirements mean that you will work on a full-time permanent basis, working a combination of days and nights. The requirement of this role means you will need to have the ability to commute to the site reliably for a range of start times.
