Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Provide friendly, cordial, and exceptional customer service
  • Act as the steward for all general building security desk operations
  • Answer calls, greet employees, support inquiries and all front-desk operations
  • Issue all personnel badges for the client site using Badging Officer interface with the security Access Control System
  • Directly support security access control and visitor management; internal and external customer relations
  • Access control; answer freight intercom for deliveries and couriers
  • Work with building management to obtain building/parking access for employees
  • Work closely with Site Supervisor, and/or Account Manager, to maintain equipment logs, inventory, and upkeep
  • Support with administrative tasks such as booking conference rooms, and assisting with deliveries/catering
  • Complete special projects as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and processes
  • Maintain and reconcile visitor badge inventories, and maintain accountability of all access-controlled cards
  • Provide training in systems used as needed
  • Maintain a professional appearance and work area at all time

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a current and valid Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Security Officer License issued by the State of California

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in the security industry or in an administrative role
  • Must possess 1 year of experience in an administrative role in a professional office environment

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • In order to qualify for this position, you must have:
    • Must be computer literate and a quick learner on security programs and technology
    • Ability to work across various programs, databases, sheets, and operating systems seamlessly
    • Must possess in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office and G-Suite
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:  Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity:  Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Standing, walking, and sitting.  Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
