As a Security Contract Manager, you will service existing contracts to ensure compliance and assures that Clients expectations are being met.  You will evaluate all contracts to see if there are potentials for expansion of existing service, ensure maximum effectiveness of the services being provided, and will be involved in plan design and existing plan enhancements. The Security Contract Manager provides general management to Security Supervisors, supports their activities, and has involvement in employees training, documentation, discipline and termination, as well as providing positive reinforcement to their employees. Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Provide client with timely, appropriate communication to make sure that their needs are being met; regularly meet with client to review services provided and actively seek ways of increasing service; offer assistance to client to meet their changing needs and schedules; troubleshoot to identify and divert any potential problems; assure renewal of contract
  • Develop and implement new service programs
  • Coordinate with Security Supervisors to assist them in their management of daily operations; offer suggestions for employee recognition, disciplinary action or termination
  • Assess need for additional training of employees and communicates need to Training Manager; provide specific training for supervisors requesting training updates for employees under their supervision
  • Tour operation on a regular and consistent basis; remain accessible to client, supervisors and employees
  • Responsible for management of budgets and forecasts
  • Assist corporate security and site services in operations budget tracking
  • Create and maintain purchase requisitions
  • Prepare monthly finance reports, accruals and re-classes
  • Responsible for weekly payroll (includes timesheets, billing and invoicing)
  • Resolve accounting issues with vendors and internal departments
  • Supervise work requests in the GCS Archibus System

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Must possess a current and valid Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Security Officer License issued by the State of California

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • A minimum of two (2) years security experience
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • College degree in business administration, criminal justice or related field
    • 5 years of supervisory/management experience in either business management or business operations

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • To qualify for this position, you must:
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer applications
    • Must be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Visio
    • Demonstrates the ability to work with others and interact appropriately
    • Able to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods
    • Possess empathetic abilities in dealing with employees and their needs
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:  Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected.

Major activity:  Working on PC while sitting; telephone use

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, and limited stretching and reaching.
