At G4S, we are continuing to play our part in supporting the government in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

The requirement for safety and security is needed right now, so we’re looking to recruit experienced Security Cluster Managers to join our team to protect and facilitate essential COVID-19 services.

 

The Security Cluster Manager will be Responsible for monitoring the security operations at  a Cluster of Managed Quarantine Hotels. To implement security policies, regulations, testing and MQS Standard Operating Procedures across the cluster. To make sure the environment is safe for employees, guests and other staff.  To manage, supervise and assist the Hotel Security managers where necessary on a very fluid and dynamic evolving project.

 

 

It’s important work, and as things keep developing, every day will be different. Working directly with the public, you’ll be providing a consistent service, with day-to-day responsibilities such as:

 

 

  • Overall responsibility for the day to day operations across a Cluster of Managed quarantine Hotels
  • The safety, security and service of the Cluster Hotels, employees, guests, and property
  • Responsible for the workforce management of the G4S security personnel employed across the Cluster of Managed Quarantine Hotels. This includes ownership of scheduling, operational compliance and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensuring Develop accurate and consistent Assignment Instructions, Standard Operational Processes, Procedures and Risk Assessments are in place across the Cluster.
  • Administration and Track & Trace policies are being followed correctly across the Clusters.
  • Daily/ Weekly/ Monthly reporting to G4S and MQS  in line with the agreed reporting statistics and format
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures in place are compliant with legislative requirements and kept up to date across the cluster
  • Ensure all aspects of Health & Safety procedures and use of PPE in a COVID environment are in place across the cluster.
  • Drive the highest standards in customer service and the provision of security
  • Maintain professional relationships and gain trust with all relevant MQS project and Hotel stakeholders.

 

You will be expected to work on a rotating 12-hour 7-on-3-off & 7-on-4off shift pattern across days and nights between the hours of 07.00 - 19.00 and 19.00 - 07.00. The role will be offered on an initial 12-month fixed term contract but there are opportunities across the wider-G4S business for the right candidates.

 


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; an ability to influence at all levels across customers and stakeholders as well as their own team. 
  • Ability to write effective reports, letters, proposals, emails and maintain written/electronic logs.
  • Highly numerate and literate.
  • A supportive character able to assist the Project Operations Manager and Hotels Security teams to achieve their goals. 
  • The inter-personal skills and ability to interact with differing personalities and leadership/management styles in order to build effective stakeholder and team relationships at various levels.
  • Practical, robust, ‘hands on’ leadership experience and abilities allied to the energy to overcome difficulties and offer innovative solutions in a fluid environment.
  • Experience of managing a complex, high profile and time critical security operations.
  • A thorough understanding of G4S and MQS policies and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritise and work on own initiative, within company and client deadlines.


Experience

  • Previous Management experience in complex fluid operations
  • Experience using relevant technology and equipment 
  • Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
  • Excellent knowledge of security procedures
  • Desirable: Experience of managing large diverse workforces
