Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Oversee that all aspects of the security function on-site is performed in a diligent manner (staffing, scheduling, and on-site training all G4S personnel assigned to his/her site, manage multi locations
  • Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance
  • Prepare compliance reports and to identify areas for improvement associated with contract-specific policies, practices, and procedures
  • Coordinate, develop, deliver and manage employee training and development programs; conduct needs assessments; identify training needs; develop and/or customize training courses, content and materials; oversee and deliver training; evaluate effectiveness; and make adjustments as necessary to improve training and outcomes
  • Conduct compliance audits to ensure G4S operations are performing in accordance with all contract requirements
  • Perform other operations and related functions (e.g review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of post orders)
  • Supervise and guide subordinate staff in the performance of their duties; conduct daily shift briefings, training, and performance evaluations
  • Provide regular reports to management regarding training initiatives, scheduling and effectiveness of employee and organizational development initiatives
  • Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shift
  • Develop and implement method of measuring the effectiveness of training programs
  • Conduct and facilitate training sessions, presenting information clearly and concisely to various audiences

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to meet and maintain any licenses or certifications required by the state
  • Must possess an Associate degree in criminal justice, education, or a related field

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of progressive leadership experience in different functionalities overseeing teams of multiple people
  • Must possess law enforcement experience that demonstrates knowledge of criminal investigations or California laws
  • Work history must include demonstration of each of the following:
    • Ability to coach and motivate others
    • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple objectives with little to no direct supervision
    • Ability to be proficient in technical writing for the development of procedures and training manuals
    • Ability to write detailed reports

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Pursuant to the requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations at 22 CFR 120-130, must be a United State Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
  • Must be willing and able to travel with little to no advance notice
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:  Office and field; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:  Working on a PC, walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Standing, walking, sitting, with minimal to no stooping or kneeling
