Sales Manager - Eastern Canada


Job Introduction:

The Sales Manager, Eastern Canada is responsible for leading the Eastern Region Sales Team with a focus on increasing business opportunities and generating revenue for G4S Canada.  This individual will implement and manage sales programs and support the sales team with a focus on funnel management and reporting.  The Sales Manager, Eastern Canada will recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential with a focus on cross-selling.  This position is based at Corporate Headquarters and will support, manage and the develop the Business Development Managers (BDM’s) within the Eastern Region, which includes Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada.


Role Responsibility:

Specific Task or Responsibility

Provide expertise and support to the organization in terms of sales on a regional level by supporting an effective sales team to increase the sales capability of G4S within the security industry

Provide forecasting on regional sales pipelines and projections to the Senior Leadership team

Developing and manage sales strategies relating to prospecting, pricing and contracts to increase the G4S footprint in the marketplace

Play a leadership role in the preparation of responses to Requests for Information, Requests for Proposals or Requests for Quotations, guiding the bid team by applying specialized knowledge to the targeted audience

Ensure sales presentations to prospective clients capture and deliver relevant information to aid in closing business deals for the organization

Coach, train and mentor eastern region sales team on negotiations of contracts, legal aspects of contracts, contract language and any history that may affect contractual obligations

Ensure communication to field staff and debrief on contractual obligations that need to be fulfilled at the field level


The Ideal Candidate:

Specific Experience:

  • Solid experience in leading a successful sale team
  • Demostrated history of sales success with large and enterprise accounts
  • Proficient Salesforce or other CRM tool user with experience in the development and reporting of sales reports and funnel management
  • Must have 10 years of experience in sales with a track record that demonstrates increasing responsibility and accomplishments
  • Must have 5 years of work experience in a supervisory/management business development role
  • Work history to include demonstration of:

o    Ability to lead, coach and retain a business development team

o    The ability to model strong oral, written business communication skills

o    Ability to navigate through complex negotiations at the executive level

o    Strong consultative, analytical and problem solving skills

o    Experience in proposal development, presentations, sales or marketing

o    Ability to partner with senior management to develop local sales strategies that will support the expansion of new client relationships and leverage existing relationships to build a sustained pipeline of opportunities to meet annual performance goals
