Within Care and Rehabilitation Services, the philosophy of our prisons is to rehabilitate offenders and equip them to re-integrate into mainstream society on release. We seek to normalise prison conditions as far as possible to reflect life in the outside community. Our aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe and causes of prison stress are minimised. Central to our philosophy is the relationship between staff and prisoners. Our training and operational practices emphasise the need to treat prisoners with dignity and respect and G4S staff build positive and supportive relationships with the prisoners in their care. HMP & YOI Parc accommodates 1038 convicted male adult prisoners and remand/ convicted young offenders and young people in a secure but modern environment.

We now have an opportunity for a Rostering and Detail Office Administrator to join our team at HMP Parc.

The successful candidate will provide support for the management of the centralised roster system to ensure that the operational needs of the establishment are achieved through the efficient deployment of operational staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of an effective roster for all operational staff ensuring that the resources meet the operational needs of the establishment.
  • Support in the compiling of Time off in Lieu (TOIL) Reports.
  • Support with the planning and implementation of the Annual Leave Policy to ensure all staff take leave in accordance with the operational needs of the establishment.
  • Produce accurate management information reports for the Head of Corporate Services to reflect the performance of the establishment in line with resources and rostering needs.
  • Ensure all staff are rostered for training, in liaison with operations and training.
  • Complete overtime and absence data daily and input as required onto Kronos Dimensions attendance management system.
  • Publish the daily detail for all operational staff.
  • Compile and maintain external escort forecasts to enable managers to provide sufficient staffing resources.
  • To assist, as directed, reporting into the Corporate Services function.
  • To assist when required supporting any Command Suite openings.

Essential Skills:

  • Must have good IT skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of work in a custodial environment
  • Understanding of a Prison Operations
  • Experience of work planning, monitoring and reviewing
