Ensure the leadership and delivery of the North Region  P&L and growth in line with in year targets and business plan. Drives strategic customer relationships enabling retention and growth in key accounts within the Region. Works closely with broader Guarding and SSUK&I stakeholders ensuring compliant, effective and efficient delivery of labour and customer requirements across the Region. Leads the implementation of People Strategy within the Region.

 

 

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

 

  • Line management accountability for Area Managers, aligning individual objectives to business key performance indicators 

  • Lead Management Review with Operational team to ensure proactive management and continuous improvement across the Region

  • Point of escalation for management of worker and customer complaints and liaison with media team as required

  • Work in partnership with Business Development and through Operational Sales to deliver growth within the Region as defined within the budget 

  • Customer reviews ensuring appropriate levels of service delivery, maximisation of opportunity for growth within contracts 

  • Deliver KPI’s for the Region as required by the business plan including management of attrition, utilisation and engagement of workforce, performance against budget etc 

  • Partner with Operations Support to provide appropriate MI on Region Performance and represent at Guarding Management meetings

  • Ensure effective management of existing workforce across the Region by driving performance and development of Operational Managers

  • Deployment of price increase schedule across Region 

  • Manage performance of contingent labour suppliers across the Region in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions, quality and compliance standards

  • Build effective relationships internally, ensuring all key stakeholders have the relevant input and information as required to deliver requirements into the business i.e. HR, Compliance

  • Own Regional P&L ensuring delivery to budget 

  • Manage reduction of debt for the Region

  • Accountable for communicating the business strategy, as set out by the Operations Director, to the operational teams

  • Lead on major and strategic contract negotiations.

  • Support internal stakeholders to meet current and future business needs where required such as resourcing, licensing and training

  • Ensure  compliance of all internal and external processes and procedures within the Region for Guarding, including legislative requirements 

  • Drive and implement positive change in relation to the wider business, championing business improvements

  • Accountable for ensuring a consistent operational approach and collaboration across all regions to create overall success of the Guarding business

  • Any other duties as reasonably required
