G4S is the leading global integrated security company specialising in the provision of security products, services, and solutions. We are seeking a proven Business Development Manager this position has overall responsibility for delivering in the region on £3M annualized sales target. Focused on manned security opportunities whilst cross selling P&R, events and integrated security systems.

Your new role will see you responsbile for developing major accounts within a blend of nominated market sectors and geographical areas, building robust and productive relationships with prospective and existing customers to ensure company, customer and individual objectives are achieved. The role will also involves identifying new business opportunities, winning new businesses and liaising with operational teams to ensure service requirements are delivered

Key Responsibilites: 

  • Deliver the agreed sales target
  • Responsible for the full sales cycle across a portfolio of key and core prospects
  • To work with other functions within the business to ensure consistent delivery
  • Presenting to diverse stakeholders within both SME’s, large (public and private sector) organisations and blue chips
  • To work autonomously within a team dynamic environment
  • To ensure companies strategies are applied consistently to achieve business objectives
  • To drive new thinking by articulating benefits of cultural change into an integrated organisation
  • To build long term relationships with major accounts ensuring opportunities are best practice and solutions are delivered to the customer
  • To sell against all competition through robust and contemporary knowledge of market dynamics
  • Meeting required levels of activity, conversion rates and other individual targets
  • Always set the highest of professional standards and lead by example within defined region

The Ideal Candidate will have; 

  • Experience of selling integrated security solutions to include; selling manned and enhanced guarding, canine, events, transport and patrol and response (and monitoring)
  • Proven success in sales
  • Ability to influence and persuade both internal and external stakeholders
  • Effective negotiations skills and the ability to overcome objectives
  • A professional and solutions-based approach to exceeding customer service requirements
  • Expertise in pipeline development and conversion 
  • Success in both developing new business and growing established customer accounts
  • Knowledge of/experience of working with high end clients
  • Experience of customer relationship management processes and systems
  • Key competencies comprising selling, interpersonal and team-working skills
  • Excellence in both verbal and written communication including bid writing and support to marketing colleagues
  • IT literate with a knowledge of MS Office based packages is preferabl
  • An understanding of the key components of a cost model and commercial propositions

The successful candidate will be expected to achieve and exceed sales targets in line with the business strategy and individual targets whilst nurturing strong, professional and credible working relationships with the customer base.
