We are setting up a brand new office for our Recruitment Team based at East Midlands Airport, Derby, so we're looking for a number of Recruiters to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-based and ambitious team at a very exciting time.

The Recruitment Team Lead is responsible for leading, developing and deploying a team of Recruiters and Administrators in the central recruitment delivery function to deliver a comprehensive, high quality and efficient recruitment service. You will plan and coordinate resource to fulfil high volumes of vacancies across the G4S Secure Solutions UK&I business with a commitment to providing high quality candidate pipeline management. You will work closely with the Head of Resourcing and Resourcing Business Partners to ensure effective resource deployment and manage the performance and priorities of the team.

  • Management of a team of c10 Recruiters and Recruitment Administrators responsible for delivering a high volume end-to-end recruitment process across the SSUK Manned and Events businesses delivering c5000 hires per year
  • Develop and manage a suite of KPI’s and SLA’s to ensure the performance of the team
  • Work with Resourcing Business Partners to ensure sufficient resource and service provision to meet demands across all high volume recruitment, including Events and new contract mobilisations
  • Input to attraction and selection strategies led by the Head of Resourcing and Resourcing Business Partners
  • Work collaboratively with Onboarding Team Manager and Screening Team Manager to ensure an effective and efficient end-to-end recruitment service
  • Conduct regular one–to-one review sessions to monitor progression, motivation and areas for improvement throughout the team
  • Drive a positive and effective working culture
  • Ensure best practice is maintained throughout all processes and procedures - successfully manage the team on meeting the same objective
  • Effective stakeholder management with the wider resourcing and operational teams, resolving issues and escalations in relation to deployment complexities and blockages
  • Engaging temporary resource to support with high volume peaks, project and/or mobilisations and project managing the delivery
  • Member of the Resourcing Management Team, attending regular management meetings and inputting to the wider Resourcing Strategy
  • Point of contact for day-to-day site / facilities queries and issues - working with the Functional Administrator to ensure an effective working environment
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement plan
  • Design team and individual training and development plans to upskill in key recruitment areas / skills
  • Ensure a consistent high quality service by auditing the outputs of the team, including copywriting, attention to detail, system housekeeping and data accuracy

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • A proven track record of managing a recruitment team, ideally within an internal recruitment environment
  • Experience of contributing to attraction and selection strategies
  • Experience of managing a high volume of vacancies and the ability to coordinate recruitment campaigns and collateral
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Strong organisational skills and be able to juggle a number of priorities at the same time
  • Ability to use initiative to proactively deal with queries
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to manage resistance to change
  • Numerical and analytical skills with a natural curiosity to challenge the status quo and innovate systems and processes
  • Highly motivated and determined, with the ability to be resilient and confident with all client groups
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of the security industry and SIA
