We have an opportunity for a Reactive Works Manager to join our team based in Cheltenham.   Full time 40 hours per week, 8:30am - 5:30pm although, there is a requirement to work flexibly and may require some evening, night and weekend work.  You will also be included in the on duty manager rota.

 

As the Reactive Works Manager you will be responsible for the management and successful delivery of all reactive works. This includes the identification of the necessary resources, skills and capabilities required to deliver the service to minimise reliance upon third party contractors responsible for delivery of statutory and mandatory compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities will include:

 

Specifics:

  • Responsible for the planning and implementation of the identified reactive and PPM works.

  • Comply with all contract SLA and KPI’s, site policies, Health and Safety rules and regulations.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all opportunities for improvement are thoroughly reviewed and when approved are implemented.

  • Ensure all audits are supported and all corrective actions addressed within agreed timeframes.

  • Continual review with respect to workload prioritising correct deployment of resources based upon operational requirements.

  • Ensure effective utilisation of resources to minimise overtime expenditure.

  • Ensure all staff has set objectives that are delivered regularly against business requirements.

  • Responsible for ensuring all staff has personal development plans that clearly articulate both training and development in line with current roles and future succession plans.

  • Responsible for ensuring all maintenance records are complete and available.

  • Produce regular and ad hoc performance reporting to identify areas of success and areas where investment is required.

  • Responsible for maintenance of professional attitude and image in all aspects of service delivery throughout the team.

  • Contribute to the development of the annual operating plan, in so far as relates to cost within the area of responsibility.

  • Report monthly on all health and safety incidents, accidents and near misses together with near miss and cascade to ensure importance of health and safety culture.

  • Deputise for line manager as and where required.

  • Capture RCA and failure mode trend information and present improvement plans.

  • Work closely with PMO to ensure that FM considerations are adequately considered to ensure future management, maintenance, and operability for all lifecycle, variations and other project activities.

 

Corporate:

  • Develop and maintain day to day contact with client representatives.

  • Act as a G4S ambassador in all interactions with client and contractor representatives.

  • Adhere to corporate security policies.

  • Identify training and development to satisfy corporate objectives and define succession plans.

  • Ensure the professional attitude and image in all aspects of service delivery throughout all your team.

  • DV clearance will be required to fulfil this role.


The Ideal Candidate:

 

Essential Criteria:

  • NVQ3 engineering

  • Management experience

  • IOSH managing safely or BSC level 2.

  • Member of a professional body

  • Experience in working in a commercial or industrial FM service delivery environment

  • Good IT literacy skills.
