Job Introduction:

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time, permanent Quality Inspector to join our team in Leicester.  As a Quality Inspector you will be responsible for carrying out incoming parts/finished product inspections, and quarantining any non-conforming parts/products found in the QC inspection. Production of inspection reports and retaining the order of the inspection documents in the QC inspection area.. In return, you will receive a competitive salary, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a contributory pension scheme and life assurance.

Role Responsibility:

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • To carry out goods inwards and finished product inspections (visual and functional) against a quality inspection plan applying AQL standards.
  • To carry out dimensional inspections of plastic parts received from supplier against engineering drawings/inspection plan using equipment including digital calliper, depth gauges and shadowgraph.
  • To produce inspection reports and associated inspection documentation following the completion of the inspection activity.
  • Feedback any inspection issues to the relevant staff (warehouse/production/procurement).
  • Responsible for maintaining the goods-in/finished product inspection records/documents in an organised manner.
  • Assisting with the creation of inspection plans and any relevant quality documentation.
  • Ensuring all inspection tasks are carried out accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring the inspection activity is carried out within health and safety guidelines and ensuring the safety of others within the department (quality/warehouse/production).
  • Any other related duties as may be required from time to time.

Our ideal candidate would be a self-starter and strong team player, passionate about quality with a professional attitude and the ability to work with the QHSE Manager/Production Manager in ensuring quality control/inspection, production process, and documentation. are achieved in a consistent and effective manner.  They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
